Data Quality Engineer
Department: Quality Assurance
Position Summary:
CLIENT, Inc. is looking for an experienced QA engineer with strong technical and data management skills that can work independently in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Responsible for research, analysis, write and maintain test strategies and plans for our data systems
Write, maintain and execute test cases that will ensure high quality data systems through standard validation, automation and statistical analysis of the data.
Research and propose tools that will be utilized for the overall data quality effort.
Support QA team on technical details and issues related to our Data systems.
Debug and validate the test execution results.
Process defects accurately and timely utilizing our standard defect tool.
Provide clear and consistent communication with the team, both oral and written.
Requirements:
Must be an experienced, independent QA Engineer with strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of the different DBMS systems on the Market.
Experience working in an Oracle and SQL environment with proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL
Experience in testing applications that rely heavily on various types of data and their systems and flow.
Experience with tools to support and achieve quality data systems
Must possess experience quality methodologies including test plan generation, test plan execution, coverage analysis and automation
Programming experience in Java and Bash. Other scripting languages such as Perl, and/or VBScript or object-oriented languages such as C or C++ are a plus.
Experience with XML and XSL.
Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong communication and documentation skills
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Focus, energy and enthusiasm for creating high-quality software products.
Proven success in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Candidate must be flexible, adaptable to changing priorities, and be self-directed with the ability to work independently
5+ years of relevant experience
Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Must possess experience with manual testing (position includes manual testing), API-level testing, test automation, load testing and problem solving techniques.
Must possess experience quality methodologies including test plan generation, test plan execution, coverage analysis and automation
Experience testing multi-tier web-based/Internet applications
Programming experience in scripting (Perl, Bash, and/or VBScript) and/or object-oriented languages (C#, C++, and/or Java)
Ability to use programming skills to create, manage and automate unit and “white-box” test harnesses and test cases.
Familiarity with databases and SQL
Experience with XML and XSL.
Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong communication and documentation skills
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
